Provider FAQs
What sleep diagnoses does Sovewell treat?
Patients are evaluated for OSA via home sleep apnea testing. Based on severity, treatment options may include CPAP, referral for an oral mandibular device, GLP-1 adjunctive treatment, and/or referral for surgical options. We are currently not accepting patients who are on oxygen or have a neuromuscular diagnosis, as they would be better served by initial in-lab polysomnography for diagnosis and treatment titration.
For patients previously diagnosed with OSA and currently on CPAP or BiPAP, they can establish with Sovewell for the sleep physician to review their compliance data, ensure adequate treatment, and provide an annual prescription for CPAP/BiPAP supplies.
For patients previously diagnosed with OSA and on CPAP or BiPAP who require documentation for DOT or FAA compliance, they can establish with Sovewell for compliance data review, the documentation required by the DOT or FAA, and an annual prescription for CPAP/BiPAP supplies.
For patients with chronic insomnia, Sovewell utilizes Brief Behavioral Treatment for Insomnia (BBT-I), an evidence-based practice delivered over four focused sessions following the initial evaluation, to help patients retrain their sleep associations and fine-tune their sleep schedule.
Initial evaluation of hypersomnia can be started at Sovewell and may require referral for in-lab polysomnography.
Many other sleep disorders can be evaluated by Sovewell, including restless leg syndrome, circadian rhythm disorders, and parasomnias. If you have questions about a referral or need to discuss a particular case, please reach out to us at info@sovewell.com.
